Need help with a pest problem? A BPCA member is trained, insured and part of a checked company. Enter a postcode, say whether the premises are commercial or residential, and choose the service.

Wasps, a common reason to call a member company

Why use BPCA?

Check a member

If a company already claims membership, ask to see the logo on paperwork and confirm the trading name with the Derby office. Membership belongs to the company that passed assessment, not to every van that borrows the words.

Check a technician

BPCA Registered is the individual scheme. A technician can be registered for CPD even though the contract is with their employer. Ask which scheme they use if a client specification requires named competence.

What you should be offered

  • A survey before a price, especially on commercial sites
  • Clear preparation advice and a record of the visit
  • Products and methods that are legal for that pest and place
  • A route to complain if the work falls short

The minimum standard

  • Professionally trained and qualified technicians
  • At least £2 million public and products liability insurance
  • Audit to BS EN 16636
  • The BPCA codes of best practice
