Servicing

Full servicing membership

For companies that sell pest management to clients. You are assessed to BS EN 16636, and qualifications, CPD and insurance are checked. The member logo may be used on documents, vehicles and uniform once it has been earned.

Consultant

Consultant membership

For qualified consultants who advise manufacturers, servicing companies and clients. Consultants may train others, act as expert witnesses, or write contract specifications and best-practice advice.

Associate

Associate membership

For organisations with an interest in pest control, or an in-house service, that do not sell commercial pest control. Food manufacturers, venues and standards bodies use this route for technical support and training.

Route to membership

What it takes

  1. 1. Talk to the office. Describe the work you do so the right category and support package can be suggested.
  2. 2. Qualify the technical team. People who carry out, advise on, or teach pest control need a relevant qualification. The usual benchmark is a Level 2 Award in Pest Management or an accepted equivalent. Trainees generally have 18 months to reach that level.
  3. 3. Show CPD and insurance. Technical staff join a recognised CPD scheme. Servicing companies also evidence insurance and safe working.
  4. 4. Pass assessment. Audits look at employment, training, health and safety, subcontractors, environment, stores, vehicles, a client visit, pests covered, complaints and documentation.
  5. 5. Stay in. Assessment is repeated, and the first year includes an induction so a company of any size can find its place in the Association.

Individual recognition and awards

BPCA Registered is the scheme that recognises employees who keep up their professional development. Full members can enrol technical staff. Separate honours, including life membership, mark long service to the sector. Master Technician and CRRU-UK-approved CPD sit alongside the company audit, so both the firm and the person can be checked.

Fees depend on category and, for servicing firms, on the shape of the business. The office will confirm the figure that applies before you commit. Use the form to open an email to the membership team.
